Description |
This figured and fancy woven coverlet has been woven into one panel using natural cotton and blue, gold and red wool. The predominate pattern is a repeated floral wreath motif. There is a 8.00" wide border of tree and floral pattern on the right and left side, with applied 4.00" long wool fringe. There is a 8.25" wide border of the same pattern on the bottom with applied 4.00" long wool fringe. At each lower corner there is a 8.00" x 8.50" cornerstone, which both read: "CHRISTIAN S. STETLER." |
