Description |
A bed sheet made out of a machine woven white (aged cream) cotton with a hand painted quilt pattern. The pattern is a stylized medallion star comprised of diamond "patches" that have been painted using artist's oil paints, in white, red, pink, mustard yellow, teal green and navy. In the middle of the design is an eight-point star. Surrounding the medallion is a diamond patch border comprised of only the teal green painted diamonds. In each corner of the border there is a solid painted teal eight-point star. On the back there is a maker's tag attached which reads: "UTICA AND MOHAWK COTTON MILLS INC. UTICA, NY. MOHAWK. RED U.S. PAT. OFFICE. 81 x 90 SHEET TORN SIZE QUALITY GUARANTEED." The top edge has a 1.00" wide foldover hem while the bottom edge has a 3.00" wide foldover hem that have both been reinforced with machine stitching. The right and left edge have been left selvaged. |
