Description |
A pieced tulip quilt comprised of a 4 x 5 block formation of appliquéd red and yellow cotton. Each block averages 12.50" x 11.50" and is made of a plain blue ground with an applied tulip motif made of red polka dot cotton and yellow floral printed cotton. Separating each block is a 2.00" wide sashing made of the same red printed cotton, with swirled quilt stitching, and cornerstones made of the same printed yellow cotton. The surrounding border is 2.00" wide and made of the same yellow printed cotton. The outer border is 4.50" and made of the same printed red cotton with floral quilt stitching and a 1/2" wide foldover binding from back to front. The entire quilt is handstitched with white thread and a SPI of 14. The back is comprised of a blue cotton with a blue and yellow floral print. |
