Description |
A medallion quilt comprised of large central compass surrounded by flowers. The center is made of appliquéd blue printed ombré cotton and striped floral printed cotton cut into petal shapes and applied onto a ground of plain white cotton. The entire ground has diamond cross-hatching. Surrounding the compass are twelve complete flowers and sixteen half flowers made of petals shapes using the same printed cottons. The surrounding border is 5.75" wide and consists of larger and wider petals applied in a "V" shape to the white ground with an 1/4" wide applied binding made of the striped floral printed cotton. The entire quilt is handstitched with white thread and a SPI of 8. The back is comprised of plain white cotton. |
