Description |
This figured and fancy coverlet has been woven into one panel using natural cotton and red wool. The predominate pattern is a repeated star and 4 x 5 floral motif, with a tulip border on the right, left and bottom side. The right and left side have a border of 9.875" wide with applied 4.00" wool fringe. The bottom border is 11.250" wide and also has applied fringe. At the bottom there are 9.500" x 11.250" cornerstones both reading "L.METZ. MONTGOMERY CO. 1842" |
