Description |
A handspun towel comprised of a bleached plain weave linen. At each of the top corners is a 1.50" long blue and bleached white linen handwoven tape loop. Inserted vertically is a 6.00" wide drawn work bleached linen panel with darning stitch floral motifs in white cotton. Near the top, on either side of the drawn work panel are three cross-stitched chair motifs in red and blue cotton. Near the bottom are the letters "O," "S" (both backwards), "A" and "K" and two floral motifs in red cotton cross-stitched embroidery. At the bottom there is an attached bleached linen drawn work panel with darning stitch motifs in white cotton. The main design is of floral and geometric motifs. Attached to the bottom of the panel is a 3.00" long knotted bleached linen fringe. The right and left edge have a 1/8" wide foldover hem while the top edge has been left unfinished. |
