Description |
Redwork sampler quilt comprised of a 7 x 7 block formation of Turkey red embroidery. Each block averages 8.00" x 8.00" and features various motifs of red cotton embroidery, mainly variations of birds and flowers, and also horseshoe, children and pottery. There is a 6.50" wide border on the right and left comprised of a floral and leaf garland embroidery, while the bottom border is 2.50" wide and made of plain white cotton. There is 1/2" wide foldover binding from front to back. The entire quilt has diamond cross-hatching and has been handstitched with white thread and a SPI of 8. The back is comprised of plain white cotton. |
