Description |
A ladies machine made lingerie dress comprised out of white cotton lawn. The dress has a high stand up collar, with stays attached to the seams and a snap closure at the back. The collar is comprised of four tucks and a decorative trim of soutache along the top edge. There is also a centered panel of pintucks running from the collar to the bust line. The panel is flanked by elaborate soutache floral and swirled designs applied all over the front of the dress. The top is styled blouson with a very voluminous front. The sleeves are set into the arm syce and they are long and full with pintucks at the cuffs and soutache designs starting from the below down to the wrist. There are also three hook and eye closures at each cuff. At the back there is a center button closure comprised of nine peal buttons. There is also a hook and eye closure at the waist. The skirt is gored and at about the knee length, and the hem, there are garland motifs applied using the soutache. There is also feather stitching along the outside of the hem, mimicking the folded over attachment. The dress has contemporary modifications with the inside attachment of a cotton twill and velcro waistband. |
