Description |
A ladies handstitched cap attributed to Moravian origin and called a "haube." The cap is comprised of a brown glazed cotton crown with a yellow and teal floral print. The crown is also hand quilted with a hand beaded floral design using clear, white, blue and green beads, contrasted with light green, blue and dark green silk embroidery. The sides of the cap consist of wide panels of black silk moiré, with a matching top center point and pointed flaps on the side. The cap is lined in a cotton burlap with a brown cotton tape drawstring inserted into the inside of the base of the crown. |
