Description |
A man's tail coat made out of black felted wool. The jacket has notched lapels with two buttonholes. The jacket has a high double breasted button closure, with four buttons (missing three). There is a waist seam, where the rounded flaps cut away from the body. The sleeves are set into the arm syce and are long and straight. At the back there is princess seaming on the upper half that meets at the waist where the center slit begins. There is a pocket in the tail. There should be two buttons at the back waist seam but they are missing. The jacket is lined in a machine quilted olive wool twill. There is an inside chest pocket on the proper left side lined in brown cotton. The sleeves are lined in cream cotton. The jacket is machine constructed with hand finishing details. |
