|Description||A child's crinoline hoop in a slight elliptical shape. The hoop is comprised of wire covered in thread attached to wide piece of burlap. The waistband is entirely made out of the burlap with a metal clasp closure.|
Possibly worn by Lydia H. (Alderfer) Ziegler (1861-1942), as a young girl. She was the daughter of Benjamin Z. (1831-1899) and Sarah M. (Harley) Alderfer (1836-1927), of Lower Salford Township, Montgomery County. As an adult, Lydia would go on to marry Horace "J.Horace" R. Ziegler (1857-1928). There is no information about the maker or origin of this piece.
