Description Group of nine appliqued and/or pieced quilt blocks.
a) Natural cotton square with unfinished appliquéd piecing. The petal shapes are a red floral printed cotton square and a double green leaf printed cotton. Hand applied using white and brown thread.

b) Natural cotton square with appliquéd flower pattern. The pattern is a red cotton with white picotage print and double green and yellow floral print. Applied using brown and white thread.

c) An eight-point pieced star block with a ground of a double pink printed cotton. The star is yellow cotton, a red floral print, a double blue printed cotton, a plain red cotton and a white cotton with a black cross print. Handstitched using white thread.

d) Natural cotton square with an appliquéd floral pattern. The pattern of three geometric printed cottons in red, green and yellow. There is also a white cotton with a dainty red branch print used for the center. Hand applied using white, green, red and brown thread. There are also ink remnants from stencilling.

e) Natural cotton square with appliquéd star pattern. The pattern is a maroon cotton with a brown and blue leaf print. Applied using white thread.

f) Background square is two pieces of natural cotton with an appliquéd Oak Leaf and Reel pattern. The pattern is a green and black dash printed cotton and a red cotton with a yellow and green leaf print. Hand applied using white thread.

g) Background square is two pieces of natural glazed cotton with an appliquéd leaf or rose pattern. The pattern is of brown dotted cotton with a red and black floral print. There are also four bird shape motifs flanking the center design. Hand applied using brown and white thread.

h) Background square comprised of two panels of natural cotton with an unfinished pieced and appliquéd tulip pattern. There are only two heads but there is a stem for a third. The pattern is green and yellow floral printed cotton and a red cotton with white dots and a orange geometric print. Handstitched and applied using white thread.

i) Natural cotton square with an appliquéd wheel or ring pattern. The pattern is a blue zigzag and brown striped floral printed cotton. Applied using white thread.
